Default Adding CSI Codes from Submittal Packages

This problem has been happening for awhile, long enough to figure out a work around, but I was curious if anyone else had a real solution.

When creating a submittal package, if you entered a CSI Code that was not already in the "look-up" list, you could click "yes" to enter it. The Lookup Groups Maintenance window would open and you could add your description and everything was fine. Now if you try to enter a CSI Code in this manner, you receive an error stating "Linked Projects is required for the current lookup group." The only way to enter a new CSI Code is to manually open the Lookup Groups Maintenance window, check the box that says "Lookups for Current Project Only", then scroll to CSI Code for the Lookup Group Section. If you don't check the box first, before selecting the Group Section, you get the same "Linked Projects..." error.

Thanks for the help.

Lightbulb Maybe it can help...

Hi Twinsor!

I did the excercise but It didn't happen to me. However, you can try to import all your CSI Codes first by using the Exchange - Import at the main menu. Then, in the window for Lookup Group Manteinance, CSI Codes (LU) you will see it says in the Linked Projects column <All Projects> and in the ones you've just created appears the name of your current project. Press the "... " next to them and in the box on your left down corner select "Apply to all Projects".

This way you can use CSI Codes in all your projects without errors. Unfortunately, you have to select the "Apply to all Projects" for each code.

I hope it can works.

See you!!

I know there is a known issue for this. On the top of my head, I can't recall if it was in Prolog 2007R2 or in Prolog 2008. I'll take a look at it and let you know. I know there was some odd behaviour if you go into Lookup Group Maintenance for CSI codes and you can't add one because you might not have access to a project so you get errors trying to add them there as well. Will let you know shortly.

Default Adding CSI Codes UPDATE

UPDATE to post -
Ok, now I have a new issue (altho the old issue never went away).
I used the import feature to add a fairly large group of CSI codes. Now, if I try to enter just a single code, I HAVE to use the import feature because it says "Sort Order must be unique for the current lookup group". We do not use the sort order column, so none of the existing codes have a sort order. If I enter a sort order for the new CSI code, then it wants one for each of the existing codes too.
HELP!
BTW- we are still on Prolog 7.5

Make sure the sort order column is blank for all CSI codes.
